Jamie Lynn Spears Does Damage Control By Donating ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Money Amid Britney Feud

Jamie Lynn Spears is starring in the new seasons of Dancing with the Stars, but she assures fans that she’s not doing it for financial gain. Rather, the Sweet Magnolias star plans to donate her salary to the ongoing Hollywood strikes.

“While everybody else in my community is on strike, I have this unique opportunity where I was offered a chance to work when my community cannot work,” she said during an appearance on Good Morning America, confirming her earnings will be going straight to SAG-AFTRA and the WGA.

“So, I figured I’ll do this and I will donate my weekly salary… to just give back to them at a time where they can’t give back to themselves,” she continued. Jamie Lynn will be partnered with Alan Bersten, marking them as the first officially revealed couple for this season.

“I don’t know if one can ever be 100% ready to take on something this big; I didn’t realize what a commitment it is, but it definitely is. I’m ready to challenge myself,” the mom-of-two said when asked if she’s ready for the reality TV stint.

The actress’s partner only has good things to say about her progress so far. “We had our first rehearsal and it was great,” Alan said. “Jamie Lynn is so hard-working and so dedicated and it’s actually so much fun. We get along so well.”

Of her new partner, Jamie Lynn chimed in, “He’s been wonderful. My family got to meet him and he’s been great. I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.”

The salaries for Dancing with the Stars celebrities varies depending on how long they stay on the show. So, the more successful Jamie Lynn is, the more money she’ll raise for the strikes.

According to multiple sources, celebrities receive an initial salary of $125,000, which encompasses training for a minimum of 20 hours per week, including several weeks leading up to the season’s premiere. However, the earnings increase if a celebrity garners votes and continues to compete.

Currently, Jamie Lynn’s net worth is valued at $6 million, which pales in comparison to the fortune of her bigger sister Britney Spears, estimates to be $60 million.

Though reports have said that Britney is open to reconciling with certain members as she navigates her divorce from Sam Asghari, she seems to still be on the outs with Jamie Lynn, following accusations her younger sister enabled her conservatorship.
