Line of Duty stars Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston have all reportedly signed up for a three-part special of the BBC police series, due to air this festive season.
The show is set to return to deliver the explosive finale that fans believe they were stripped of when the last season came out last year.
A TV insider told The Sun that there's plenty of "unfinished business" despite Ian Buckells being exposed as the ominous H.

"There was a very strong feeling, particularly among fans, that there was unfinished business with Line of Duty," the insider revealed.
They added: "Viewers weren’t satisfied with the ending of series six and were crying out for a more sensational conclusion — now Jed can deliver that."
The insider then added more susuipon to the show's apparent ending, encouraging viewers to think twice about the show's true villain.
"The question is whether the person we were led to believe was really the villain that AC-12 has been hunting or if it was another nemesis. There’s also a another theory that a darker puppet-master is at work," the insider speculated.
The show's writer Jed Mercurio has never ruled out another season of the BBC series and The Sun's insider confirmed that the step of allegedly creating more content for the show proves how much the project means to him.
"The fact that they’re looking at taking the unusual step of making three episodes rather than the usual six or seven is a reflection of just how special this is for the show," they said.
The show's cast have also been dropping hints of Line of Duty's return, with Vicky fueling rumours during her chat on Good Morning Britain.
"I speak to the lads all the time and we’d all love to, we’re all game. I think it’s just a case of now . . . Martin, I think he’s in about nine shows or something. He’s busy, so I’m sure we’ll get there," she admitted.
Martin, who plays Steve Arnott recently said: "I’m so chuffed that people want it back. But who knows? I’d love to work with the guys again. Adrian, Vicky and Jed are genuinely some of my closest friends."
A few weeks ago Adrian, who plays the iconic Chief Supt Ted Hastings, said: "I think generally there’s a willingness amongst everybody to do something but I think we’re just going to have to wait a little bit longer."
