Beloved BBC daytime show pulled from screens for weeks in shock TV schedule shake-up | The Sun

A FAN-favourite BBC daytime show has been pulled from screens for weeks in a shocking TV schedule shakeup.

Those at home yesterday tuned into the flagship channel hoping to catch their beloved breakfast show which is hosted by Welsh presenter Gethin Jones – but it wasn't there.

The programme usually airs in it's 9:15am slot weekdays on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

But due to a sudden schedule shakeup, Morning Live has been axed to make way for Rip Off Britain, the consumer affairs series that has been around since 2009.

Gloria Hunniford, Julia Somerville, and Angela Rippon will host the show, which will air for the following three weeks.

Gethin announced the news at the end of the most recent episode of Morning Live, telling viewers that they are "taking a break."

The Welsh presenter said: "That's all we've got time for, we are having a bit of a break, the Rip Off Britain ladies are back 9:15am from Monday."

He continued: "We'll see you in about three weeks' time, bye for now."

This unexpected TV scheduling change had BBC viewers scratching their heads.

Thankfully the Morning Live official social media account then disclosed the exact date on which the famous breakfast show will return.

This isn't the first time the series has faced a shake-up – in September Gethin went missing from the red sofa.

After spending a long weekend away in France at a friend's wedding, Gethin Jones was absent from the BBC studio while attending an even more exciting event.
