Beloved comic signs up to Christmas special of popular sitcom after quitting show | The Sun

JACK Whitehall will return to Bad Education in a cameo role – almost ten years after the comedian left the show.

The star played incompetent history teacher Alfie Wickers from 2012 to 2014 before the show was revived last year.

Now the series creator will be reunited with Layton Williams, Charlie Wrenham, Vicki Pepperdine and Mathew Horne in a throwback to the days of Class K.

An insider revealed: “Jack has been on set filming for his small cameo in the special episode.

“While he’s not returning to his role as Alfie Wickers as we know it, the scenes will make for an emotional reunion for fans of the original series.”

Comedian Jack was originally the show’s star as teacher Mr Wickers when it debuted in 2012, lasting for three series until 2014, with a feature film following later.

After the success of its tenth anniversary reunion special in 2022, a fourth series was released without Jack – with a fifth currently in the works.

It will feature six new episodes following the grown-up stars of Class K.

The Bad Education Reunion was the highest rating comedy on BBC Three since the channel was relaunched in 2022.

The fourth series of the show brought in 1.1million viewers – making it one of BBC Three's most successful programmes.

But Jack failed to return on screen for the re-run – with the special marking a farewell to Mr Wickers – instead sticking behind the cameras to co-produce the show alongside Freddy Syborn.

Last year's series saw Stephen and Mitchell, played by Layton and Charlie, getting to grips with their new careers at the school under the rule of control freak head teacher Ms Hoburn.

Speaking at the time of the reunion, Jack said: "I have such fond memories and it will be great for the fans to check in and find out what class K have been up to since they left and if Alfie Wickers is still as much of a melt as they remember."

The new series is expected to follow on where fans left off.
Actor Layton Williams said of the new episodes: “I'm so buzzing that everyone embraced the new Bad Education! Thanks to yous, we're back and badder than ever, creating more chaos with a super talented bunch. More life, more laughs, more looks!”

Bad Education will return to BBC Three later this year.

Ramseys: Is it sex o'clock

THEY may have young kids, but Chris and Rosie Ramsey still have time for some bedroom fun – just.

Speaking to Keith Lemon on his ITV2 show Shopping With Keith Lemon tonight, the comedian and his wife reveal they have no choice but to get busy at “really weird times”.

Presenter Rosie admits: “It’s difficult, it ends up happening at really weird times. These people who have sex when they go to bed, what are you thinking?

“It’s like 2 o’clock in the afternoon for us.”

Nonetheless, it hasn’t stopped Rosie from fancying the pants off her other half.

She adds: “He’s ageing really well, I fancy him more now than I used to. He looks really good.”

Tonight’s episode, which airs at 10pm, also sees Myleene Klass given a grilling by the presenter.

Olivia's letting loose

OLIVIA Attwood has come a long way since appearing on Love Island in 2017.

She’s made documentaries and fly-on-the-wall shows for ITV2, headed Down Under for I’m A Celebrity and now she’s a Loose Woman.

The former grid girl made her debut on the ITV daytime show yesterday and her no-nonsense approach was a hit with viewers.

As she joined the panel, she said: “Coming here, this feels very grown up, I’m going to have to be on my best behaviour.”

A source said: “Olivia is a massive part of ITV’s plan for the future, and her joining the Loose Women panel is just part of that.

She won’t be a permanent ‘Woman’ but after hitting it off with viewers there’s definitely more appearances on the cards.
