Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) is about to call the police when a young man starts causing trouble in the market in upcoming EastEnders episodes. That is, until the young man introduces himself as Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) and says he’s Billy’s son.
Billy is shocked to see Freddie, who is now 18 years old, and struggles with what to say to him. Because the truth is that Freddie isn’t Billy’s son at all, but is the biological son of a man called Graham Foster who raped Freddie’s mother Little Mo (Kacey Ainsworth). Billie and Mo were married at the time, but although Billy supported his wife through Foster’s trial, he ultimately couldn’t come to terms with bringing up the rapist’s child and Mo and Freddie left Walford.
Freddie’s reappearance obviously leaves Billy with a serious moral dilemma. What should he say to Freddie about his parentage? As Mo seems to have left Freddie with the belief that Billy is his father, is it really Billy’s job to tell him the truth?
This leads to a furious row between Billy and Honey (Emma Barton), as she demands that he should contact Little Mo about Freddie straight away.
But when Freddie mysteriously vanishes, is it because he’s discovered the devastating truth about his father being rapist Graham Foster?
And did he hear it from Billy?
