El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie trailer sees Aaron Paul return
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan is known for not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to the creation of the leading AMC series.
Over the years, eagle-eyed fans have spotted dozens of small Easter eggs that prove just how thorough Gilligan is when crafting a story – however, it seems as though they may have missed one major one.
A few of the most notable hidden details include Walter White (played by Bryan Cranston) losing his pants in the pilot and then walking past them again in the season five episode, Ozymandias.
This was done again in season two with the pink teddy that foreshadowed Gustavo Fring’s (Giancarlo Esposito) death in Season four.
Although most of these Easter eggs are solely for the narrative’s sake, Vince also added one small gesture into the series that serves as a tribute to his late aunt, Ginny Lambert.

The gesture in question occurs in season two, episode four, which is titled Down.
During a scene fans see a brief shot of Jesse Pinkman’s bedroom, and the camera lingers for a moment on a photo of Jesse with his Aunt Ginny — who left him her house after she passed away from lung cancer.
Speaking on the fourth instalment of the Breaking Bad Insider Podcast, Vince revealed that the woman in the photo is his real-life aunt, who similarly passed away from lung cancer before the series premiere.
Gilligan went on to confirm that this photo was a sweet tribute to his beloved aunt, whom he misses dearly.

But that wasnt the only touching tribute Vince slipped into the show – in fact he went on to include several other nods to his aunt throughout the show’s seasons.
Most notably, the maiden name of Skylar White (Anna Gunn) and Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt) is Lambert, likely inspired by the same aunt who gave her name and likeness to Aunt Ginny.
Lambert is also the false surname used by Walter White while he’s on the run during the hit series’ fifth season.
As his aunt sadly never got to see the show – that went on to be a massive hit with fans – due to her passing, Vince expressed his immense gratitude for being able to include her throughout the five seasons of Breaking Bad.
All seasons of Breaking Bad are available to stream on Netflix.
