On Monday, it was revealed comedian and actor Leslie Jordan had died following a tragic car accident. Call Me Kat fans were brought to tears after his co-star Mayim Bialik took to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute. Thursday’s episode on FOX also paid homage to the actor during its latest instalment.

According to reports, Will and Grace star Leslie Jordan was on his way to the set of Call Me Kat when he died. 

It was revealed the 67-year-old had suffered a “medical issue” behind the wheel of his BMW which caused him to crash into a building. 

After his death was confirmed by his reps, fans rushed to social media with tributes and their condolences for his loved ones. 

His co-star Mayim Bialik also took to her Instagram page where she penned a touching tribute for Leslie.

Alongside photos of the star including a sweet selfie of them together, Mayim wrote in the caption: “They broke the mold when they made Leslie Jordan. 

“He was a dear mentor and a beloved friend. I will miss him so much – it’s unimaginable that he’s gone. Rest well, sweet buddy.”

Among the images, the actress also posted a moving tribute, where she reflected on working alongside Leslie. 

Mayim shared: “There aren’t words to convey the loss we are experiencing as a cast and a Call Me Kat family.

“Leslie Jordan was larger than life. He was a southern gentleman; tender, wise naughty and hilarious. 

“We got to know and love him at the height of his happiness and joy and it was inconceivable to imagine a world without our Leslie. 

“The man who could spit on his contact lens before putting it in his eyes, the man who had a story about every man in Hollywood and some women as well, the man who lived to make people laugh.”

It continued: “We will be taking time to grieve and to celebrate the many gifts Leslie gave us and to the entire world and we appreciate privacy at this time.”

Other celebrities also commented on Mayim’s tribute, including actress Jennifer Love Hewitt who wrote: “Wrapping you guys in love and healing”

Talk show host, Ricki Lake added: “Our hearts are broken with yours.”

Twitter user Suzanne Arundale said: “#CallMeKat started with clips of Leslie Jordan which started tears in my eyes. The show had me crying and laughing. Leslie will be missed. Rest In Peace Leslie. You spread love and joy.”

While Jen weighed in: “Already crying seeing Leslie on screen #CallMeKat.”
