It was their last day on set, so there was much fun, and many hugs xxx.

The filming news comes as star Jenny Agutter teased that her character has a “situation” in the forthcoming Christmas special.

“I can tell you it’s a very, very busy time at Nonnatus house. I have a very busy time,” she revealed during an interview on Good Morning Britain.

“It’s a year where there’s a lot of snow and ice and I get into a situation where I help with a birth in an ambulance on the way to the hospital because we get stuck on the way to the hospital.

“And more than one baby arrives and I’m not going to give away much more,” she teased.

The Call The Midwife Christmas Special will be on BBC One on Christmas Day. Series 13 will air next year.
