CALL The Midwife viewers have threatened to boycott the BBC series amid concerns of a fan-favourite dying.
Season 12 of the popular periodic drama has returned and fans are already holding on to the edge of their seats with suspense.
Now the show's official Twitter account has shared a rare snap of Reggie Jackson, portrayed by actor Daniel Laurie, 26, with a very sad expression on his face as he sits on his bed.
The post was captioned: "UK fans! Call the Midwife tomorrow! Reggie isn't himself…
Call the Midwife. Sunday at 8pm on BBC1."
Fans rushed to the comments section to share their worries – as they feared he might get killed off.

Many even warned that they would stop watching the show, if Reggie died.
One wrote: "I don't want anything to happen to Reggie. I adore Reggie!"
Another added: "Nothing better happen to Reggie!"
A third penned: "Oh no! Not Reggie, I don't care we are not losing him."
