CAROL Vorderman looked incredible as she joined the This Morning team live from Wales.

The 61-year-old former Countdown star has been making a big return to TV, which included a starring role on Celebrity Gogglebox.


But today Carol appeared live from Cardiff to speak movingly about the menopause, a subject close to her heart.

The roving reporter told today's This Morning hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle, speaking initially in Welsh.

She said: "Bore dar. Good morning, I'm home in Wales here in our capital city.

"I've got the beautiful bay behind us, beautiful people behind me, the beach over there, the Welsh government building to my right.

"But most importantly here in Mermaid Quay we have the Menopause Bus."

Carol opened up about her own experience with the menopause saying he was once suicidal.

The star admitted she sunk into a deep depression that left her feeling suicidal at times.

She said: "I started in my early 50s. I didn't go oh I've got night sweats, I didn't have any of that.

"I started feeling anxious – I'd never felt anxious in my life. I'd run companies, I do all sorts of different things.

"I started feeling anxious even about what trousers I was going to wear, was I going to have a tea or a coffee?

"That developed into a deep depression – I felt suicidal at times for many months.

"I kept a note of when my periods started in my electronic calendar. I started on a bespoke HRT and within 48 hours – literally within two days – I felt back to normal. I have never have a symptom since, it is wonderful."
