Cat Deeley admits she strips completely naked as part of unusual health regime

Cat Deeley has admitted she had an unusual way of recovering after struggling with the aftermath of coronavirus.

The TV presenter contracted Covid-19 in January 2021 and one symptom left her feeling like she has Multiple Sclerosis. So in order to focus on her recovery, the 47-year-old started using infrared saunas and an oxygen chamber.

Speaking to Women's Health UK, Cat explained she started using the saunas after coronavirus left her with aches and pains in her hands. Doctors were unable to help her, so Cat sought alternative methods.

She told the publication that the symptoms were similar to MS, explaining: "[I had] achy joints, no strength in my hands, and a weird thing that happened when I looked down – there's a nerve at the back of your neck – and it almost felt fizzy, electric."

Cat did her own research and found that MS patients were often treated with oxygen tanks which would help rejuvenation. At the same place she found somewhere which has a red light sauna and cryo-chamber.

Instead of the usual saunas, they use lamps to warm the body instead of hot air, which means people can usually stay in them longer than normal. Cat uses the opportunity to stay in there for around 45 minutes.

She told the publication: "I have to read a magazine. So I've got my glasses on, at the same time I try and put my legs up the wall. Completely naked. I mean… thank God no one can see me.

"Then I sit there for 45 minutes, get incredibly sweaty, have a shower, wash my hair and then jump in the cryo tank."

The popular TV presenter has been focusing on her health after the long effects of Covid, and now she's firmly back on screens and has even stepped in to co-host This Morning. She's been on TV with both Craig Doyle and Rylan Clark while ITV continues the hunt to find a new hosting duo for the show.

It was reported by Mail Online that ITV bosses would be looking to pair various presenters together on screen in the next few months as they look for a permanent duo following Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield's exit.
