Coronation Street cast celebrate star's 50th with celeb-packed night out

Coronation Street star Alison King marked her 50th birthday with a big bash attended by a number of her cobbles co-stars.

The actress, who plays Carla Connor on the ITV soap, celebrated her big birthday in style, in a moment that was captured by Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor.

Samia took to Instagram to share the snap with Alison, which saw the two posing alongside Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor, who play Leanne and Toyah Battersby, as well as Shona Ramsey star Julia Goulding and Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt).

‘Celebrated our awesome Ali Kings’ birthday with these queens last night,’ wrote Samia on the social media platform as she posted the picture.

Several of her co-stars were quick to comment, with Georgia writing: ‘When I was, inexplicably, a giant for the night’,’ followed by a laugh emoji. Jane, meanwhile, replied with a heart, while Julia posted a heart face emoji.

‘Blumming beauties,’ wrote Kel Allen, who played Laura Neelan on the show, while Bhavna Limbachia, who portrayed Rana Habeeb, commented with three heart eye emojis.

Alison, who plays Carla, is at the centre of a big Corrie storyline right now, with killer Stephen Reid having targeted her in a bid to get his hands on her beloved factory.

Stephen, as viewers know, has been drugging Carla with LSD in a bid to make her think that she’s unwell – in the hopes that she will leave the running of the factory to him.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
