Coronation Street: Evelyn and Cassie

Coronation Street’s Kevin Webster (played by Michael Le Vell ) and Abi Fletcher (Sally Carman) could be heading for trouble.

It comes after spoilers reveal Kevin lets Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) stay overnight after running into some trouble.

However, before her impromptu stay, she’s left reeling after being told to keep quiet at the meeting with the taxi company.

Instructed to let Kevin, Abi and her son Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) do the talking, Cassie storms off in a rage.

Although everyone is taken aback when the police show up and inform Tyrone they have reason to believe his car was involved in a hit-and-run.

Wanting to examine his car, Tyrone is left suspicious as he thinks his mum has something to do with what’s happened.

In the cafe, he asks where she was on September 11 as his car was used in a hit-and-run, however, she denies having anything to do with it.

As it’s clear Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) doesn’t believe Cassie, will Tyrone take his mother’s word as the truth?

Later on, Kevin discovers Cassie drunk in Victoria Gardens and quickly realises she can’t go home.

Offering her to stay, Cassie goes back to stay on his couch at No.13, not wanting her son to see her in her drunken state.

The next day, Kevin tells Abi about the situation and how he allowed Cassie to stay on their couch and that she doesn’t want Tyrone to know what happened.

As Cassie calls at the garage later on with a hangover, she tells her son she spent the night at a friend’s house.

When he’s out of earshot, she thanks Kevin for not telling Tyrone about her alcohol-infused antics.

However, when he goes to put the kettle on, Cassie watches him fondly.

Could Cassie be mistaking Kevin’s kindness for something more?

Viewers of the ITV soap already believe Kevin and Cassie know each other with many believing he could be Tyrone’s biological father.

If this turns out to be the case, could there be trouble ahead for Kevin and Abi?

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
