Coronation Street fans baffled by major Gemma and Chesney blunder in poisoning plot | The Sun

CORONATION Street fans have been left baffled by a major Gemma and Chesney blunder in the latest poisoning plot.

During Wednesday's episode of the ITV soap, the couple rushed Chesney's son Joseph to hospital after he was sick in front of them.

The youngster has been unwell for weeks and Gemma has taken him to the doctors on a number of occasions.

But at the hospital, the couple were shocked when tests revealed Joseph had been poisoned.

It was quickly revealed that Gemma had made a mistake giving Joseph some lavender-infused tea – instead making it with a lavender essential oil instead of the tea bags.

However, Coronation Street viewers were more concerned with who was looking after the couple's other children.

Gemma and Chesney have quadruplets together, and while they often have Gemma's mum Bernie to rely on, she was working a shift at the cafe.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one fan wrote: "If Chesney and Gemma are at the hospital and her mother is in the cafe- who’s looking after the invisible quads! Locked in the attic with Bertie?"

Another added: "Who on earth is looking after the quads while Chesney and Gemma are in AnE all day??"

A third tweeted: "Gemma & Chesney in Hospital, Bernie's in Caf counting ££. Who's minding the Quads?"
