FURIOUS Coronation Street fans have lashed out at the soap for 'forgetting and under using' a staggering number of its core cast.
Fans of the ITV soap opera have been left unimpressed and consistently asking, 'where have they gone?,' over the past few months.
Although the soap has not been short of a dramatic story or two, some of its current batch of characters have been unable to get a look in.
Viewers have lashed out at show bosses and have claimed that stars including Eileen Grimshaw, Aggie Bailey and Mary Taylor have vanished without trace.
Eileen has hardly been seen on-screen in recent months apart from a few cameo appearances to aid her lover George Shuttleworth's storyline with Todd.
Fans were left shocked when she made a rare appearance and showed off a completely new look earlier this year owing to her lack of screen time.

They have also questioned the fact that despite an abundance of characters being lodgers in her home, she rarely appears to be there herself.
Similarly, Aggie has been absent for the majority of the year despite the fact the Bailey family have been central to most of the show's storylines.
Explanations of visiting family friends and doing overtime in the NHS have been mentioned by her on-screen hubby, Ed.
However, with Ed set to embark on a huge gambling storyline, viewers are confused over Aggie's lack of involvement.

Equally, Mary Taylor has failed to have a solid storyline outside of her involvement with Brian Packham and his cousin earlier this year.
Child stars Jack Webster and Ruby Dobbs have also gone 'missing', despite bosses actively employing a brand new, older actress to play Ruby to give her stronger storylines.
Commenting on the 'disappearing acts' online, one fan said: "It's even worse when they actively choose to do storylines when a close family/household member is absent.
"Doing storylines with George/Todd without Eileen, or Ed/Michael without Aggie makes no sense."
Another added: "Never see Eileen in her own house."
A third penned: "Where does Eileen keep disappearing to?!"
As a fourth moaned: "I hate how in modern Corrie characters go AWOL for months on end before the plot needs them again.
"The lack of continuity makes it difficult to relate to these characters as they’re suspiciously absent from their friends’ and families’ lives for long stretches."
Before a fifth echoed: "Eileen's been gone for awhile. New Ruby has been Thanos snapped from existence. Does Jack even exist?"
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
