Corrie: Stephen Reid hallucinates Sarah's face melting
Coronation Street fans have slammed the ITV soap after “unrealistic” scenes played out on Wednesday night.
Earlier on in the year, Carla Connor (played by Alison King) was being spiked with LSD by Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) to get her out of the Underworld factory.
Whilst she was experiencing the symptoms of the drug, family and friends believed her psychosis had returned, not knowing her drink had been laced with the hallucinogenic.
Taking some time away from her role in the business, Carla checked herself into rehab, although she’s recently returned and is back to her usual self.
However, when she spoke to Lou (Eleanor Howell) about LSD, as her late husband Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo) had taken it, the cogs started turning.

Realising her symptoms were the exact same as those who take LSD, she confided in Roy Cropper (David Neilson) with her theory.
However, the reaction wasn’t what she was hoping for as he grew fearful her paranoia had returned and decided to call her partner Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
Worried for her well-being, Peter decided to give the doctors a ring who later showed up at Carla’s home to check in with how she was doing.
With the GP making a home visit on such short notice, fans were quick to call out the “unrealistic” situation.

With @Felstedboy questioning: “Wow! A home visit from a GP. Have I gone back in time?”
In the end, Carla proved she was in good health and was left reeling at Peter for not speaking to her before making the call to the GP.
At the end of the episode, Roy gives her a test that will detect if there are any traces of LSD in her system to prove her theory.
