CORONATION Street fans are convinced they know which resident would make the best new landlord at the Rovers Return pub.

ITV viewers have a solution to Jenny's money problems, after the business looks set to be closing after 63 years.



Landlady Jenny Connor has tried her best but after the pandemic and the current cost of living crisis, she can’t keep the doors open for much longer.

After opening up to her staff about the situation they all rallied round to put on a night to impress the brewery and convince them to buy the pub back.

However, he told Jenny that the accountants had run the numbers and the pub just wasn’t financially viable as it is.

And worst still he said the only thing she could do would be to sell it to property developers to be turned into flats.

With this heart-breaking decision looming over her head, viewers think Rita would make the perfect buyer and landlady.

It has been mentioned a number of times that Rita has a lot of money after working from a young age and having multiple careers.

Recent scenes revealed that Rita was a professional singer.

Rita is often looking at ways to invest her money.
