Coronation Street looks set for dramatic scenes next week as Summer Spellman suffers a devastating miscarriage while Stephen Reid looks set to strike again on the cobbles.

In upcoming scenes, pregnant Summer, who has agreed to let Esther and Mike Hargrave adopt her baby for money as they can't have children, is left delighted when Esther suggests she move in with them.

But things take a heartbreaking turn when Summer reveals that she’s bleeding and is devastated to discover she’s suffered a miscarriage.

Later, Summer and boyfriend Aaron Sandford return to find his dad drunk and bloodied. Forcing him to A&E, Summer receives a text from Esther. How will she break the devastating baby news?

At the end of the week, Summer doubles over in pain at the factory as a concerned Carla Connor and Sarah Platt send her home.

Later, Billy Mayhew calls at the flat to check on Summer… will she tell him the truth?

Elsewhere, the walls start to close in on murderer Stephen Reid as Nick Tilsley insists Sam Blakeman and Audrey Roberts' cruise must go ahead while ex-wife Gabrielle cancels his car contract.

Later, Stephen, who has already murdered Leo Thompkins on the cobbles,steals Audrey’s antidepressants and crushes them into a powder intent on spiking her. Is Audrey in danger and how far willStephen go?

At the end of the week, a desperate Stephen calls Six Fellas, the fast food company, and begs them to give him his job back.

In Bolton, the boss begrudgingly gives Stephen his job back but he’s accosted by teenagers who steal his delivery box, work phone and demand money.

As Stephen spots Elaine approaching he attempts to race away on his moped but in his haste loses control and goes sprawling across the road.

Is this the end of Stephen and will his lies be exposed?

Also, Nick resorts to desperate measures when he’s quoted £20K to fix the dry rot at the bistro as he asks Sam if he can use his inheritance money from his mum Natasha.

When Sam insists he’s going to use the money for university, Nick pretends to Leanne Battersby that Natasha’s sister has signed off the inheritance for them to use. But is everything as it seems?
