Stephanie Davis discusses Coronation Street theories

It looks as though there could be trouble in paradise for Coronation Street’s new couple Courtney Vance (played by Stephanie Davis) and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain).

Earlier this month, it all came to a head when their sneaking around was exposed by Aadi’s dad Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and the affair was revealed.

Furious by her deceit, Courtney’s husband Darren Vance (Ryan Early) threw his wife out on the street, which resulted in her running to her new beau Aadi as the family allowed her to move in.

However, as they prepare their journey to find their own place, it’s clear Courtney hasn’t thought out their financial situation.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media publications about what lies ahead, it looks as though there’s a rocky patch ahead for the pair.

The ITV soap star Stephanie Davis said: “She really is fond of him, but I think the cracks do start to show because she’s been so accustomed to that lifestyle with Darren.

“Living the high life and then it’s like, ‘Wow this is my reality now’.

“She is fond of him and I think the more it goes on, you’ll see when the scenes come out they do have this genuine lovely little relationship together. They’re a bit like marmite sometimes.”

Spoilers for the soap reveal next week, Courtney puts pressure on Aadi to look for a place for them to live.

Overhearing their predicament, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) suggests looking at Shelly Rossington’s (Natalie Amber) old flat now that it’s up for rent following her death.

Although Aadi promises to look into it, his dad is less than happy with Bernie for supporting their relationship.

However, it looks as though there could be another man in Courtney’s sights as Stephanie teased who could throw a spanner in the works for them all.

Stephanie added: “Darren is a really toxic relationship, he’s already cheated on her loads, the trust has gone and it’s more about money.

“With Aadi he’s too young, he can’t give her the life she’s accustomed to as well, so, will she go for the dad, who’s got both?

“That’s what I see for Courtney! I don’t know but I was laughing, me and Jimmie always laugh and say it would be so funny if we end up together.”

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
