Coronation Street: Tim is attacked by Stephen
Coronation Street’s Ed Bailey (Michael Georges) could be set to be outed to his family about his recent gambling relapse at the hands of someone he has never met before.
In upcoming scenes, Ed apologises to Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) for being too distracted to take an interest in her new boyfriend.
In an attempt to make things better, he offers to take her and Joel Deering (Calum Lill) out for lunch to get to know him and see how they are as a couple.
After agreeing, Dee-Dee gets back to her day and begins to sift through the mail and shows Ed an envelope from a credit card company addressed to Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden).
Later in the cafe, Ed’s card is declined and Joel kindly pays for Ed’s coffee with his card, however, both men are still unaware of one another’s identity.

Arriving at the Bistro for lunch with Dee-Dee and her new boyfriend, Ed is immediately embarrassed to be introduced to Joel.
Luckily for Ed, Joel doesn’t mention the declined card incident and Ed covers his embarrassment when Joel pays for lunch.
Will Joel tell Dee-Dee about the incident in the cafe? How will she feel if she thinks her father is gambling once again?
Joel and Dee-Dee first met a couple of months ago and quickly went on a date with one another, but she was oblivious to his flirting.
After spelling out that he liked her and going on their first date, Dee-Dee soon fell head over heels and began her new romance.

This is the first bit of romance for Dee-Dee since she returned to Weatherfield last year, with the actress recently commenting on her new romance.
Channique Sterling-Brown won an award for her role as Dee-Dee at the Inside Soap Awards and spoke about the “bizarre” reaction their romance had received.
Speaking to Digital Spy she said: “I saw some comments about us being an interracial couple.
“Almost like: ‘An interracial couple on the Street – God forbid.’ I just thought it was so bizarre because the relationship had nothing to do with race.
“It really is just about two people who have found each other, and are really in that loved-up, gross honeymoon phase.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
