Stephen Reid (played by Todd Boyce) has been drugging Carla Connor (Alison King) with LSD to mimic her psychosis symptoms. After he and Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) lost a deal with an American company, he has been more desperate than ever to try and regain control. Official Coronation Street spoilers reveal Michael Bailey (Ryan Russel) is set to catch Stephen in a lie and could put himself in the firing line.

In upcoming scenes, Stephen lies to the factory staff about the recent deal he, Sarah and Carla had made with an American company.

He had promised the workers they would get a hefty bonus because of the deal he had made and soon assures them he’s got a meeting to finalise the deal this afternoon.

Having consulted Stephen’s diary, Michael demands to know why there’s no mention of the meeting with the Americans.

Meanwhile, Michael shows Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) his new designs and explains how he hopes to persuade the American clients to get back on board.

Having spoken to Owen, Michael confronts Stephen, asking why he cancelled the American deal and then lied about it.

Has Michael just put himself at the top of Stephen’s murder list? The Corrie villain won’t like Michael coming close to his plans to steal money from the factory.

Actor Todd Boyce recently opened up about Stephen’s murder streak and admitted there are more deaths to come.

He told The Mirror: “I think there could be more. He has a taste for it now and I think he figures that if he gets caught for three, he might as well get caught for four or five.

“I’m probably at the height of my powers as an actor at 62. It would be great to go down in the record books as the show’s biggest serial killer. What a thing to be known for.”

Stephen has already killed two people who had gotten in his way and nearly killed a third last week.

His first victim was Leo Thompkins who he pushed off the top of a building, with his body landing in a bin behind Underworld.

Teddy Thompkins was his second after her realised Stephen had murdered his son, before being killed by a hole punch.

Will Michael meet his death at the hands of Stephen, sending more shockwaves through Weatherfield?

If Stephen kills Michael, he could be in for a lot more trouble as his disappearance may not be as easy to hide.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
