Coronation Street: Ryan leaving Weatherfield

Coronation Street’s Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) is set to make a heartbreaking request from Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) as his MND continues to make his life harder.

After finally telling his family about his diagnosis, Paul has been feeling more supported than ever and began to attend support classes.

Official spoilers reveal that after meeting a new friend at the support group, Paul have a new outlook on life which includes asking Billy a life-changing favour.

In upcoming scenes, Paul is patiently waiting for his appointment at the MND clinic and finds himself sitting next to Shelly from his support group.

He is surprisingly impressed with her positive attitude as she urges Paul to take control and if there is something that he has always dreamed of doing, then now is the time to do it.

Back at home, Paul tells Billy that with Shelly’s help, he has seen things more clearly and has something important to ask him.

Jumping to conclusions, Billy excitedly tells Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) he is expecting Paul to propose.

Later sitting down with Billy, Paul steals himself before telling him that when the time comes, he’d like him to help him end his life.

Taken aback by his request, how will Billy take Paul’s big decision and will he agree?

Elsewhere, Summer lists possible wedding venues but Paul begins to wish they could have a church wedding for Billy’s sake.

Overhearing his request, Billy assures him that marrying him is all that matters and it doesn’t matter where or when they do it.

Wanting his family to be prepared for his decline, Paul introduces Shelly and her PA, Cags, to Billy and Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove).

However, the visit has the opposite effect on Bernie and she is shaken by Shelly’s advanced condition, giving an insight into what is to come for her own son.

Billy and Paul have had a rough time of it lately after Paul admitted to cheating with an old flame during a drunken visit to the hotel.

He had initially gone to let off some steam after having an argument with both Paul and Bernie and ended up running into his ex-boyfriend Zack.

Things quickly escalated between the pair and they headed to Zack’s hotel room where they kissed before Paul pulled away and confessed he was dating someone else.

The incident played on Paul’s mind as he soon came clean to Billy, breaking down in tears and confessing what he had done.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
