Coronation Street’s Sally star details chilling moment she knew Tim could die

Coronation Street: Stephen Reid commits second murder

Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor has detailed the moment her character realises her husband Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) could be in danger.

In recent scenes, viewers have seen killer Stephen Reid start to realise his past crimes are catching up to him after the body of Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost) was discovered.

Spoilers for the ITV soap reveal as Tim grows more suspicious of Stephen, he decides to investigate the canal where he saw him snooping around before.

As he spots the hand of a dead body, he tries to call the police, although the killer tries to silence Tim for good as he fights for survival.

Unaware of what’s happened, Sally wrongly assumes her husband has snubbed their wedding anniversary to go to a football match with Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell).

As Kevin reveals Tim didn’t show up for the match, Sally is stumped as gossip starts to spread around the cobbles.

Speaking to Express.co.uk and other media publications, the soap star detailed the moment her character realises Tim’s in trouble.

When asked if she’s angry her husband hasn’t gotten in touch with her, the soap star said: “Tim would always get in touch with Sally, so she thinks, ‘He would’ve rang me at this point if he was hungover.’

“But it’s the next day, I think he was away for two nights, so now I think she is really really worrying about him.”

The soap star confessed Sally started to question where he was, why he hasn’t got in touch and where is his phone.

She continued: “All those things, she just doesn’t understand what’s happened at all.

“It’s only until she’s in Roy’s Rolls with Gail when Elaine comes in and says the Platt’s have all been chatting and he has murdered people that he didn’t get on with.

“It clicks with Sally, she’s like, ‘Oh my god, he never got on with Tim.'”

Could Stephen claim his final victim before finally being caught? Or will Tim manage to escape unscathed?

It’s not just the murders that people are realising have a connection to Stephen as Carla Connor (Alison King) realises he was the person behind spiking her with LSD.

As she spots one-way plane tickets to Thailand, she’s set to tell the police Stephen’s a flight risk as she tries to spot his plans to flee Weatherfield.

Coronation Street continues on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
