Coronation Street fans believe they’ve rumbled the identity of Sarah Barlow’s real dad after a major DNA twist rocked Weatherfield.

Sarah was stunned on Friday (December 15) after her real dad's identity was thrown into question, with Stephen Reid's journal laying bare some family secrets after his death. Sarah always assumed her dad was Brian Tilsley, it turns out Gail wasn't sure who Sarah's dad really was at first.

Audrey Roberts gathered up the dead serial killer Stephen's belongings and came across the diary – with David later becoming aware of Gail’s secret and spilling the beans to Sarah. As Sarah demands to know the identity of her real dad, fans are now convinced his identity is none other than Neighbours icon, Jason Donovan, with rumours swirling that the actor would be Australian.

Taking to X, one fan said: “ #corrie i'd love to see jason donovan as Sarah's dad they said it would be a Aussie?”. Another penned: “Bring in Jason Donovan as Sarah's dad.”

A third added: “Was it Australian they said is Sarah's dad? Who do we reckon then? Jason Donovan?”
