Coronation Street's Jack P. Shepherd's girlfriend has taken the plunge and gone from blonde to brunette.

Hanni Treweek, who is said to work behind the scenes on the hit soap, shared the dramatic transformation on Instagram with a fun video, capturing the hair journey.

Previously, Hanni, 32, had platinum locks but she's ditched the bleach it seems for a warmer look.

Her legion of 20,000 fans went wild for the change, calling her "gorgeous" and "fabulous".

Hanni and Jack, who plays David Platt, have been dating for around four years and are often snapped in glamorous locations together.

Meanwhile, Jack, 34, opened up about the time he was forced into a photo with silver fox Martin Kemp – but the experience was truly “awful”, he said.

Jack was left red-faced after Martin, 60, didn't have a clue who he was despite the event organisers wanting a snap of the celeb pair together for social media.

The actor was a bit crushed after Martin obviously just thought he was a fan – and the whole episode was made even worse by Jack accidentally ruining Martin’s new trainers.

The Spandau Ballet legend – also a fellow soap star but in EastEnders – was hosting an Eighties night at the Tatton Park Pop Up Festival in Cheshire when the awful run-in occurred.

Speaking on the Sofa Cinema Podcast, Jack said he was just minding how own business when organisers asked him to meet Martin. Jack said no initially because he “didn’t know him” so knew it would be weird.

But the organisers insisted.

Jack said: I feel really aggy about doing a photo with someone I don't know. I'm walking backstage with the photographer that's there and we're making small talk. He's talking about my aftershave, going, 'That's nice.'

"We're counting the seconds until Martin arrives. He's not even here yet. The car pulls up and he's on in 10 minutes. He's still eating a tuna sandwich.”

Jack remembered that Martin evidently know who he was so the pair stood awkwardly for the picture and continued: "I've shook his hand and gone to put my arm around him and I've looked down and I've stood on his shoe.

“I'm in a muddy field with massive boots on. He's got pristine, white trainers on. I've stood on his shoes and I've looked. Forget it – mud.

"I'm smiling doing the photo and I've gone, 'Sorry, I just stood on you there.' He's gone, 'Don't you worry about it.'”

Jack cringed as he recalled the meeting and said that Martin probably thought he was “f****ing weird” and just thought to himself frantically “get in and get out!”

He added: "It was awful. It was so bad.

“I knew instantly when they asked me. I knew not to go up. I thought, 'This is only going to end bad.'

“I was just chatting s**t to him. I didn't want to be there."

We’re dying too, Jack!
