Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown is set to make quite an entrance during tonight's show (September 28).

The actress joins the ITV soap as Diana 'DeeDee' Bailey, the sister of James (Nathan Graham) and Michael (Ryan Russell).

A lawyer by trade, DeeDee will dive headfirst into the Charlie Walters murder case – with Channique recently confirming her character's secret link to Stu Carpenter.

As the 25-year-old Corrie newcomer gets ready to become a household name, Daily Star takes a look inside her life off-screen and her glam Instagram snaps.

Cobbles jumpsuit

Channique's Corrie role was confirmed earlier this month.

Posting the news to Instagram, the actress shared her delight at being cast in the role of DeeDee by posing for an exciting snap in front of The Rovers Return.

Wearing a purple velvet jumpsuit, Channique also bundled up for the Northern weather in a stylish leather-look jacket.

She wrote in a caption: "I am sooo excited, for all that is to come and incredibly grateful for this new chapter in my career!"

Belly chain

Bundling up in Weatherfield, Channique put her gorgeous curves on display while holidaying on the Greek island of Zakinthos earlier this year.

Posing in front of an idyllic swimming pool in the much warmer climate, the DeeDee star cut a stylish figure in a royal blue bikini and white shirt.

Channique finished her look with a rather unusual accessory – a gold-plated belly chain which spelt out the word Princess.

Alongside the snaps, she penned: "A bikini body is just a body in a bikini hun."

Buzz cut

Channique celebrated her 25th birthday in style with a fabulous pink mini-dress and a buzz cut.

Vacationing in Turkey and rocking the same Princess belly chain from her Greek getaway, the actress stunned her Instagram followers by going through with her pledge to save her head "after years of talking about it."

She captioned her birthday post: "QUARTER OF A CENTURY BABY. So blessed to be turning the big 25 in Turkey with my best friend!

"And after years of talking about it, she’s finally shaved her hair!"

Makeup free snap

Prior to shaving her head, Channique went makeup-free for an intimate photoshoot.

In March last year, the stunning actress put her "Afro and stretch marks and rolls" on display in celebration of International Women's Day.

Channique also pledged to "embrace every part of herself", writing: "A few years ago, I would never, have posted these photos with my Afro and stretch marks and rolls, but I’m learning that womanhood is about embracing every part of yourself.

"It's a journey for sure but I love it."

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
