Cockney hardman and EastEnders star Danny Dyer has claimed his accent is dying out.
The telly presenter and actor – who starred as Albert Square’s Mick Carter until last year – also moaned that his own kids are speaking posher than him.
Danny, 45, groaned: “I broke the mould [with them], we sent them to private school. They’re middle-class, they don’t speak like me.
“I think my Cockney accent might be a dying breed you know, which is a shame.

“I might well be the last generation that speaks like I do.”
Danny, host of new Channel 4 reality show Scared Of The Dark, claimed he has overcome bias against his Cockney twang to make it in showbiz.
He said: “We all face an ‘ism’ – whatever background you come from. Women come across a lot of ageism, there’s still a lot of racism about – mine is classism.
“I’m not going to complain too much. I’m very proud of where I come from. But we need more working-class people in politics, people who know what it’s like to live a life.
“Some of the best actors ever are working-class. They’ve had to really fight to get a place in our industry.”
Scared Of The Dark starts tomorrow (Sunday) and sees celebs like former boxing champ Chris Eubank, ex-England footballer Paul Gascoigne and Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt holed up in a bunker for eight days in total darkness.

He added: “They asked if I’d like to host a new show where we lock eight celebrities in the pitch black and I was like ‘F***ing sign me up – sounds amazing.’
“It depended on the celebrities for me, too – I wanted it to be interesting people, and they are.
“One of my all-time heroes is Paul Gascoigne. Paul thought I was going in with them – when he found out I wasn’t, he was gutted!”
