Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) was completely rocked by some unsettling news in recent EastEnders scenes, as her date revealed her true identity.
Viewers have known for a while now that Eve’s twin sister had died a number of years ago, but tonight (August 16) we finally learnt who was responsible.
After contemplating whether or not to go on a date with ‘Amanda’, Eve decided against the idea when wife Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) got another letter from her stalker, reminding her that he was still out there somewhere.
However, Stacey was determined that Eve should go on the date, even lending her an outfit for the event.
Eve headed to The Albert where she met with ‘Amanda’, who appeared extremely nervous.

Though Eve assumed these were first date jitters, it soon became clear that she was harbouring a dark secret.
After several drinks and not a lot of conversation, Eve decided to call it quits, pointing out that things probably weren’t going to go anywhere between them.
She admitted that she was still in love with ex Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and revealed that she didn’t think ‘Amanda’ was that interested anyway.
Eve was left devastated when Suki chose to stay with abusive husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry) instead of running away with her, and has since gone out of her way to try and get over her, though it was clear that this hadn’t worked, and Eve still cares for Suki deeply.
After turning to go, Eve got quite a shock when ‘Amanda’ tried desperately to stop her from leaving, and the true reason soon became startlingly clear.
‘Amanda’ confessed that she had been trying to track down Eve for years, before dropping the bombshell that she was actually called Caroline Johnstone, and that she had been driving the car that killed Eve’s sister.
How will Eve react to this shocking revelation?
