Devastated Lauren Harries told she may never walk again after recovering from coma | The Sun

LAUREN Harries has been told she may never walk again in a devastating update.

She has been hospitalised for months now after she had emergency brain surgery in April.


She then ended up in intensive care after contracting infections and is now unable to walk without help.

The 2013 Big Brother legend was also placed in a coma after she suffered from seizures.

Now, in a heartbreaking update to fans, Lauren has revealed doctors have said she may never walk again.

She said: "I have been told today I may never walk again.

It comes after Lauren underwent surgery for her spine that later turned out to be unsuccessful.

The TV star's mum Katy said that after a split was discovered in her daughter's spine she needed to undergo "high-risk" surgery.

She needed surgery after an MRI scan found the split, and they are unsure how it was caused.

A tweet posted from Lauren's account read: "Lauren has had to have Spinal Surgery due to a split in her spine.

"This was very painful, It’s worrying as the spine is the most dangerous place to have an operation next to the brain.

"Unfortunately the surgery was unsuccessful so drs are looking into other options."

Katy continued: "She’s been in hospital now for over 2.5 months. Her spine is concerning for doctors and she will be staying for longer.

"We don’t know why or how this happened.

"She just wants to get home."
