The following article contains spoilers for this week’s EastEnders episodes, which have NOT yet aired on TV, but can now be viewed on BBC iPlayer in the form of a boxset.

Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) receives big news in upcoming scenes, as he takes a trip to the hospital to get an update on his cancer.

Before that, however, he’s tasked with overseeing and organising Avery Baker’s (Omar Lye-Fook) funeral, and let’s just say that things don’t exactly go according to plan.

After turning up late to the service and several mix-ups on the day, Stuart gets into bother with boss Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick), who subsequently takes it upon himself to fire him!

Stuart, reeling from losing his job, head to the doctors, where he was told that he’s got the all-clear – he’s cancer free!

Despite this, however, Stu starts to plan his own funeral, and even orders a coffin plaque with his name on it. Callum (Tony Clay) becomes concerned about his big bro, and together with Vi (Gwen Taylor) and Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley), he confronts him.

Stuart reveals he’s been given the all-clear, which only confuses his loved ones more given his behaviour, but Karen soon gets through to him, as she tells him she thinks he’s got post-natal depression.

Stuart agrees to go to the doctors, and upon doing so, he’s prescribed anti-depressants, which leaves him feeling incredibly confused and lost.

With EastEnders’ typical broadcast schedule disrupted by sport this summer, the decision was made to allow audiences the opportunity to watch episodes of the BBC One soap online ahead of broadcast.

The soap has dropped episodes on iPlayer each and every Monday for the past few weeks, with this week’s outings thought to be the last of the boxsets.

These episodes will still air on BBC One this week, in their usual slots. And, whether you’re bingeing or watching on the telly, it’s a week in Walford that’s not to be missed.

This week’s EastEnders is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
