EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has hinted at a return for Little Mo Slater (Kacey Ainsworth) amid a ‘big year for the Slaters’.
Little Mo was last seen on Albert Square back in 2006, before leaving for Barnstaple with son Freddie (Bobby Brazier).
16 years later, Freddie returned to Walford, leaving us wondering if Little Mo would follow suit.
‘Freddie’s in the show, so there is every chance that Little Mo could pop back to Walford,’ Chris told the Loose Women panel.
Little Mo is one of EastEnders most iconic characters, and the scene that saw her hit abusive husband Trevor Morgan (Alex Ferns) over the head with an iron is etched into the memory of the British public.
There were happier times ahead for Mo, as she married Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) on Christmas Day in 2002.
However, their marriage fell apart when Little Mo discovered that she was pregnant, having been raped by evil Graham Foster.
They tried to mend things after Freddie was born, but to no avail.
Viewers will remember that Freddie arrived on the square in 2022 believing that Billy was his father, though it wasn’t long before the truth came out.
Little Mo still has a lot of family on the Square, and with sister Kat’s (Jessie Wallace) wedding coming up, now seems as good a time as any for her to make a comeback.
Of course, it all depends on actress Kacey Ainsworth, who has been rather busy since departing EastEnders.
She has appeared in a number of TV dramas, most notably the ITV crime series Grantchester, in the role of Cathy Keating, as well as several stage productions.
With EastEnders boss Chris promising ‘a big year for the Slaters’, could Little Mo be set to arrive back on our screens?
We’ve got our fingers crossed!
