EastEnders’ Bradley Branning star Charlie Clements’ life now including surprise new job

EastEnders alum Charlie Clements has ditched his life as an actor for a very normal job – thirteen years after his stint on the soap came to an end.

Charlie played Bradley Branning, a loveable geek, on the show for four years between 2006 and 2010, before his character was sensationally killed off to celebrate EastEnders’ 25th anniversary.

Bradley had vowed to protect his wife Stacey after she murdered her rapist Archie Mitchell, and the couple had made plans to go on the run together.

However, their getaway went disastrously wrong when, while attempting to flee the police, Bradley attempted to scale The Vic.

His reckless escape attempt ended up being less than successful, however, when he promptly fell to his death, making his wife a widow and sending shockwaves through Walford.

After leaving the show, Charlie, now 36, has taken a step back from acting and is pursuing a very different career.

He initially pursued work as a chef and regularly shared snaps of baked goodies on his Instagram account, where he boasts more than 6,000 followers.

The star even joked about launching his very own pizza shop and hinted that he would be open to a documentary on Netflix following the journey in February 2023.

However, it looks like he’s since turned his attention to another one of his passions – golf.

The star had regularly been posting snaps from the driving range, and shared on 17 August that he was now planning to make it his full time job.

“Swapped chef whites for the greens,” the star wrote on his Instagram, where he posted a picture of himself in a brand new turquoise Greenkeeper uniform.

Greenkeepers play a crucial role on golf courses as they rake bunkers, move tee markers to the right place and cut holes.

They also ensure that the trees and shrubs aren’t getting in the way of play.

Although it might seem totally different, he previously admitted that one of his chef jobs was at the local garden centre, so hopefully he picked up a few tips and tricks there!

Charlie has previously opened up about his decision to change careers, and explained in an interview with The Sun that it was mostly a practical choice.

The star explained that acting will “always” be his “career choice” but added that he has “bills to pay and a family to support like everyone else.”

Charlie married his longtime girlfriend, photographer Rebecca Clatworthy, in 2018, and the couple share three children.
