Former EastEnders star Charlie Clements has embarked on a new outdoor career that's worlds away from acting.
The 36 year old once played Bradley Branning on the BBC soap, but his character was killed off in 2010, when he fell from the roof of the Queen Vic pub.
Whist Charlie has still pursued acting, he's done it alongside a normal career, having been a chef, and more recently starting a totally different career – as a greenkeeper on a golf course.
Bradley is a keen golfer himself – often posting snaps of himself playing the sport to Instagram, so it seems only natural that he decided to devote more of his time to the greens – and get paid for it.
He posted a snap to Instagram of himself wearing his uniform – a blue polo shirt with the word 'greenkeeper' stitched into it.
Charlie wore glasses and showed off his red beard that he's grown since his days of playing Bradley Branning on EastEnders.
He captioned the post: "Swapped the chef whites for the greens… #golf #greenkeeper #greenkeeping #golfersofinstagram #golfislife #course #uk #insta ".
The day before, he had posted a sunset snap of the golf course, which was captioned: "First day on the new gig today…" His followers showed their support with messages of luck.
One wrote: "Best of luck, Charlie! X" whilst a second wrote: "Good luck!!"
Charlie played Bradley Branning on EastEnders between 2006 and 2010, and the character proved to be popular on Albert Square.
He scooped several accolades at the British Soap and Inside Soap Awards for his portrayal of the property salesman – who had an on-off relationship with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Charlie decided to leave the soap in 2010, and in a dramatic storyline, his character discovered that Archie had raped Stacey and got her pregnant so confronted Archie by punching him twice in the face.
At the end of the live episode on 19 February 2010, Bradley died after falling from the roof of the Queen Victoria pub, while being pursued by a policeman.
Speaking to the BBC about his decision to leave the show, Charlie, now 36, explained that he believed that it was the right time to move on from EastEnders and called the role a “privilege”.
He said: “I have enjoyed every minute of it, but as an actor I feel that now is the time to move on. I will always be grateful to EastEnders – I have had the privilege of working with some wonderful people whilst being given some fantastic storylines.”
