EastEnders confirms new link between two Christmas murder suspects

EastEnders fans are practically counting down the days until Christmas – roughly 160, in case you’re wondering – and eagerly anticipating the moment The Six strike and commit a murder set to rock Albert Square.

Up until now, The Six’s paths haven’t crossed much since that fateful lock-in, except for perhaps the occasional conversation.

However, that is set to change, as Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) team up in upcoming episodes.

As if the knowledge that Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) lost her honeymoon in a poker game wasn’t enough, Kathy is set to learn that Suki will be going on the Greek cruise instead of her, leaving her incandescent.

Meanwhile, Suki is touched by what she believes to be a romantic gesture from husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry), until Kathy and Rocky arrive to shatter her illusions.

As they reveal to a devastated Suki the truth about the poker game, she is humiliated, but grateful when an equally devastated Kathy is quick to console her.

However, the pair don’t stay moping for long, as they have soon formed a plan of their own.

When unsuspecting Nish and Rocky arrive at the Vic, they are shocked to find their significant others in the middle of their own game of poker.

It isn’t long before the Greek cruise is back on the table, and Nish arrogantly expresses his belief that Suki will win.

It soon becomes clear that he has underestimated Kathy and she ends up swiping the victory, and her Greek cruise honeymoon, from right under their noses.

With Suki and Kathy plotting and scheming together, could an unlikely friendship be on the cards as the lead up to the Christmas death begins?

After all, eagle-eyed viewers will have spotted Kathy throwing a glance in Suki’s direction as they stood around the body in the flash forward scene.

Was Kathy simply checking on her new bestie, or was she looking at the killer?
