FANS of EastEnders think that one character's return has been sealed after the confirmation that villain Dean Wicks would be making his way back to the show.
It has led BBC viewers to claim that his mother, show icon Shirley Carter, played by Linda Henry, will be following suit.
The Sun confirmed that Dean would be back on EastEnders this Halloween and it will send shockwaves through Walford.
With Shirley having fled Albert Square at the start of the year after her son, Mick, played by Danny Dyer, went missing at sea, little has been heard from her.
Shirley appeared to be back living with her rapist son Dean and her daughter Carly in February of this year but with Matt Di Angelo's character on the return, has Shirley's fate been sealed?
Actress Linda took a break from the show but it was confirmed that it would not be a permanent exit leading fans to sit patiently for her return to the Square.

Speculation is now running rife online that Shirley will be back with her son.
Writing online, one fan said: "Could this mean that Shirley IS returning?!"
Another penned: "I wonder if Dean’s return could be part of an agreement to bring Linda Henry back.
"After Danny Dyer and other Carters leaving, I reckon Henry would want somebody in her on-screen family with her."

A third speculated: "Even if Dean is still killed off in a couple of months, bringing him back now does mean we're going to get some knockout drama from Kellie Bright very soon, and I'm all for that.
"I'm also very excited that this might mean Shirley is due back soon. She might even rock up with Dean."
Before another fan added: "I can't say I'm bothered about Dean returning, but surely Shirley won't be too far behind if Linda Henry is actually returning?"
The Sun confirmed that Dean would be back this Halloween.
The rapist – who is played by actor Matt Di Angelo, 36 – first appeared as Dean in 2006 and was last seen in Walford in 2016 when he was acquitted of the attempted rape of Roxy Mitchell.
Bosses were desperate to keep his return under wraps and had gone to great lengths to keep it top secret and to shock the viewers.
A source said: “Dean is the ultimate villain so to bring him back was a genius move especially with everything that’s coming up this autumn.
“There’s also the small matter of the big murder at Christmas, could it be Dean’s body under the tree?
“We know that Linda is one of the women involved, and this just throws another name in the mix. It’s a very exciting time.”
