EastEnders icon return ‘rumbled’ as fans ‘work out’ Cindy’s new business partner

EastEnders fans reckon they have twigged Cindy Beale's new business partner – and it’s a soap icon.

Since making her shock return to the square, and after faking her death, Cindy (Michelle Collins) has been attempting to cement her life in Walford once and for all. So much so, that she’s planning to set up her own business.

At first, she attempted to go into business with Nish and Suki Panesar, but things didn't work out. Cindy then hoped to have half the money from the bar she owned in Marbella with ex George Knight – but that was not the case.

However, with not much money in the bank, and a competitor going in for the same lot, Cindy comes up with a plan. Much to the confusion of Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) Cindy meets up with the fellow bidder and tgo in together on the lot.

While her beau thinks the business move won’t work, Cindy insists that it will. She reassures Ian that the plan will work because the other bidder is a former Walford resident.

Not much is known about the mystery business partner apart from that they once lived in Walford. But fans are convinced they’ve figured out who the person is.

Over Reddit, one fan wrote: "It’s been revealed that next week Cindy will find a mystery buyer for her and Ian’s new business. Ian is skeptical, but Cindy reassures him, telling him it’s an ex-resident of the square. So who do you think it’ll be?

“My two guesses. Max Branning: Lauren’s returning so it would make sense for him to return at some point / Ian and Max have a history / Max is responsible for Steven’s death, so if Cindy found this out there would be an epic feud / Linda is supposed to have a 'horror Halloween', so perhaps this could be Max returning, rather than Dean."

They also proposed their second theory: "David Wicks: Arguably one of the people Cindy trusts the most (someone she actually knows) / Would anger Ian given the history / Could allow Bianca to return ahead of Whitney’s exit / Chris Clenshaw said he wants to bring back more iconic characters, this would be a great move in doing so."

Other fans were hopeful that it could be Max Branning too. One penned: "Max would be brilliant. Him and Cindy be quite the duo."
