EastEnders’ Lola star Danielle Harold’s life since quitting soap including ‘much needed’ holiday

Danielle Harold has been making the most of her free time since leaving EastEnders in May, with her character Lola Pearce tragically passing away from a brain tumour.

The 31 year old actress, who played Lola since 2011, won huge praise for her portrayal of Lola as she battled brain cancer in the soap, with the role raising awareness of cancer and the signs of brain tumours.

While she thinks about her next career steps, Danielle has been enjoying attending glitzy events and awards bashes, as well as heading out in London on nights out and spa days.

Let's take a look at what she's been up to following her EastEnders departure…

Danielle's portrayal of Lola has won her several awards nominations over recent months. The actress took home the gong for Best Leading Performer at the British Soap Awards as well as the Soap Actor award at the TRIC Awards.

She'll soon be heading to the National Television Awards on 8 September, where she's been nominated for the Serial Drama Performance award.

Danielle's been enjoying attending awards bashes with fellow celebrities since her EastEnders exit, and at the TRIC Awards in June she opened up about her future career plans and how she's been spending her time away from Albert Square.

She told OK!: "I'm just taking it all in at the moment," before adding: "I've not left too long ago, I've gone to award shows and stuff, so it's just been quite nice lately, I'm enjoying it."

She's also been spotted at star-studded events, including the boohooMAN x Arrdee launch party on 1 September, which took place at Wagtail Rooftop Bar & Restaurant in London.

Danielle's been keeping her fans updated too, having now started posting regularly on Instagram. She's shared several glam photos since her soap exit, having been partying in London and spending time with loved ones.

It looks like she's soon set to jet off too, after she recently told fans she's in need of a sun-soaked holiday following her hectic year.

As for what's next, Danielle has ruled out a return to soapland and is hoping to land a role in a drama or film.

"I don't think I'm going to do soaps for a bit, I would love to do some dramas or films," she told OK! at the TRIC Awards.
