The Panesar family in EastEnders have discovered Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) called of Jags’ protection in prison, which led to his death.

Ben’s guilt slowly increased throughout the entire episode, mainly due to the fact Kheerat (Jaz Deol) had spent the whole day with him.

Kheerat supported Ben as he attended the HIV clinic, fearing he had contracted the virus after being raped by Lewis (Aidan O’Callaghan).

It was good news for Ben, as he learnt he does not have HIV.

Ben’s happy mood didn’t last long, however, as Kheerat shared some kind words about their friendship and even admitted Ben reminds him of his brother.

The guilt really increased for Ben here, so he self-destructed by taking more drugs and getting into trouble at Peggy’s.

Once again, Kheerat was by his mate’s side to help, but Ben couldn’t deal with the sensitive side to his friend, knowing full well their friendship wouldn’t be a thing if he knew about Jags.

Unable to take it anymore, Ben confessed in front of the entire Panesar family – he stopped the protection for Jags.

He killed him.

We were left on a cliff-hanger tonight, but how will the aftermath play out?

And where does this leave Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who still hasn’t told the family Jags was never meant to be in prison?
