EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith and Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh have made their first public appearance as a couple.
The pair joined a host of stars at a red carpet event celebrating A Christmas Carol at the Dominion Theatre in London on Monday night, after starting a relationship away from the eye and during lockdown.
Despite their hectic work schedules, and Amy filming in Leeds while Toby films in London, the pair are making it work, and beamed as they took photos together outside the theatre.
‘It’s early days but they really like each other,’ a source told The Sun.
‘They’re both very busy with packed work schedules at opposite ends of the country, but they try to spend as much time together as they can.’
Toby and Amy’s night out on the town comes as their respective soaps both prepare for some seriously heavy-hitting storylines this Christmas.
Toby, who plays the evil Gray Atkins in Emmerdale, is still trying to cover up the murder of his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer), which ended a harrowing abuse storyline earlier this year.
In the first trailer for the upcoming festive special, Gray was seen brooding in an armchair while looking over at the deathly dishwasher, which he pushed Chantelle into, stabbing her on an upturned knife in the process.
But his reign of terror could get worse before it gets better, with other members of the Square.
Meanwhile Amy, who plays Tracey Metcalfe over in the Dales, has just survived an attempted stabbing and has discovered that she’s pregnant.
