And while her life is hanging in the balance, her mum Stacey Slater has been left utterly shell-shocked after finding out that her youngest daughter is pregnant.

A doctor pulled Stacey to one side to inform her of a concerning ultrasound which showed that her 12-year-old daughter was expecting a child.

It comes weeks after a pregnancy test was found in the Slater household and presumed to be Whitney's – but could it have been Lily's the entire time?

Taking to Twitter, fans couldn't help sharing their thoughts on the new storyline.

One user wrote: "Don't know how I feel after that tbh."

While another said: "I like a grim storyline – let's just hope they do it right!"

Lily is in hospital after a carbon monoxide leak, with Lily, Jean and Eve all going down – and their fate hasn't been revealed.

Jean slater (Gillian Wirght) was in her bedroom before the big bash fretting about Harvey getting cold feet.

Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) was left shaken when Nish (Navin Chowdhry) and Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) arrived with a bottle of whiskey for her and she encouraged them to stay and set about befriending Nish.

Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) came down stairs and spotted Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) showing Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) a ring-sized box.

Jean panicked thinking Harvey might be about to propose and Stacey worried that her mum will say yes.

However, Harvey was just going to give Jean his house key.

As the clock counts down to midnight, Nish was desperately trying to find Suki, who was passionately kissing Eve in Jean’s bedroom but then Eve collapsed.

Lily later rushed off to be sick and Jean fainted in Harvey’s arms.

Bobby alerted the family that Lily had collapsed in the hallway and when the paramedics arrived, they told everyone to evacuate the house immediately due to a carbon-monoxide leak.

At the hospital, Stacey sat by Lily’s bedside anxiously waiting to find out if her little girl would be ok.

EastEnders spoilers have teased that Nish is convinced the Slaters will sue over the boiler in upcoming scenes after speaking to cagey Eve.

In the meantime, he’s determined to strong-arm Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) into doing a deal on the Arches. explains the deal is off.

After overhearing Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) raging at Sharon Watt’s (Letita Dean )door, Suki counsels Nish not to take on the Mitchell’s.

Later, Nish apologises to Ben and Lola for being insensitive but Harvey is appalled and calls Nish out for trying to throw his money around to deflect attention from the Slater boiler horror.

He rages that Nish is responsible for the dodgy boiler and publicly humiliates him.

Enraged Nish is ranting about Harvey while Suki takes a call from the Health and Safety Investigator and they know who is at fault for the boiler.

Jean and Harvey are having a cosy chat when the Panesars and Nish tells to Suki to put the Slater's rent up.
