WITH Linda Carter roaming around Albert Square, Janine Butcher is feeling more insecure than ever.

The EastEnders villain played by Charlie Brooks tried to bring her rival down again last night – but fans noticed one flaw in her plan.

Well known for her scheming, Janine resorted to her old tricks as she attempted to convince Jada Lennox to turn her back on Linda.

The teen portrayed by Kelsey Calladine-Smith was offered money to call social services on the Vic landlady (Kellie Bright) and accuse her of drinking again.

Jada initially refused to do Janine's bidding and called her out for being "jealous" of Linda.

But Janine always knows how to strike back and get what she wants.

The schemer played a recording of Jada agreeing to the plan on tape as Janine asks her to call social services.

Janine warned Jada that if she didn't do what she had agreed to, she'd release the recording to Linda and make her lose her job at the salon.

However, some BBC One viewers pointed out that Janine can be heard in the recording, meaning that releasing it would be incriminating for her and not only for Jada.

Soap fans swarmed over to social media to share their thoughts on Janine's plan.

"That’s just so stupid, Janine would never play that recording because she would have just as much to lose as well", one of them penned.

Another responded: "Yes that's what I thought! Makes no sense!"

A third viewer questioned: "Why would Janine want to release evidence of herself in that recording? Am I missing something?"

But just as Jada had to get on board with Janine's plan, Linda attended her court hearing with her former husband Mick (Danny Dyer) at her side.

The Vic landlord made it clear he would support her throughout her ordeal, although their divorce had just been finalised.

While the judge refrained from a prison sentence, Linda did get a driving ban and community service.

Linda went to The Vic later on to celebrate – only for her to be alerted by Zack Hudson that a social worker had arrived at Sharon's.

Once there, Linda found the social worker with the planted bottle of alcohol but she insisted it wasn't hers.

Her daughter Annie was then taken away for a medical assessment after the worker found her with a bruise.

Jada was horrified she'd taken part in bringing Linda down while Janine was over the moon.

Some EastEnders fans were happy to see Janine being her villainous self but one of them was left fuming.
