British actor, Lucien Laviscount, shared a glimpse of his vision for Alfie on Netflix tv series Emily in Paris. Lucien, who plays Emily’s (played by Lily Collins) boyfriend in the glamorous TV show, spoke of his wishes for Alfie’s character development in the upcoming season.

Netflix confirmed the future of Emily in Paris back in January 2021 when it announced the series had been renewed for season three and four.

In season three, Emily remains indecisive about her romantic partners, she’s now officially paired with Alfie but has unresolved feelings for Gabriel (played by Lucas Bravo).

Although she made a pact with best friend Camille (played by Camille Razat), the marketing executive always finds herself wandering in Gabriel’s world.

In the season’s spicy finale, Alfie decided to walk away from the relationship after becoming aware of Emily’s doubts.

She stood there, shocked, as he told her: “Sorry, but I’m nobody’s second choice, Cooper. Now go and get your man.”

Emily tried to dispute the breakup but shortly understood that Alfie made up his mind.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Laviscount discussed the events that led up to this season’s emotional rollercoaster.

The actor shared an insight of his expectations for the following episodes, claiming that he’s up for any story line.

“I personally need closure on certain things, whatever that might look like,” he said.

“I feel like Alfie is just kind of starting to loosen up a little bit. He’s moved to Paris. He’s got his ducks in a row as much as he probably could have.

“So I guess with Alfie and Emily, whether it be closure or a friendship or whatever, to explore that?

“I know it’s been explored [a little], but I think their relationship is different than what Gabriel’s and Emily’s was. But, like I say, I’m all in for whatever.”

Lucien believes that it would be enticing if Alfie takes on more responsibility in the professional field.

Additionally, he suggested introducing a partnership or feud with businessman Nicolas de Léon (played by Paul Forman).

“Maybe have a little bit of speaking to with the good ole Nicolas,” Lucien added.

“I think that that’d be quite a nice little thing to play with within the business – the two businesses kind of fighting off each other.

The actor concluded the interview by saluting both series creative director, Darren Star, and lead co-star, Lily.

The season ended on a cliffhanger, making us wonder if Emily and Alfie will ever rekindle their relationship.

Perhaps, she’ll go for Gabriel instead despite her friendship with Camille.
