Emmerdale’s Mackenzie Boyd (played by Lawrence Robb) was left hot under the collar during Thursday night’s ITV episode after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) questioned her husband to be about whether he wanted to be a dad. The argument took place on the couple’s joint hen and stag do after Charity accidentally knocked pregnant Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) to the floor. However, she became suspicious when Mack rushed to be by Chloe’s side. This led the pub owner to question whether Mack wanted to be a father afterall.

“It was just a misunderstanding,” Mack insisted. “Moira is convinced that I am desperate for a kid of my own.”

“And are you?” a heartbroken Charity asked before Mack told her: “No!”

Mack explained he was happy with the situation they were in, however, Charity didn’t seem to buy it.

Charity went on to admit that she didn’t shut down the idea of having another baby.

“We never talked about it again so I assumed it had gone away,” she said.

“Don’t lie to me, I need to know where you’re at, where we’re at.

“I have no burning desire to be a mum right now as I already have four kids and they are way more than I can cope with.

“And I can’t bear the thought of losing another baby.”

“This is Moira making a big deal of nothing,” Mack argued.

When Charity questioned where it came from, he continued: “I told her she had got it wrong,

“it is not an issue, not for me.”

Following the episode, fans took to social media in droves to share their thoughts on Mack and Charity’s storyline.
