Emmerdale think the end could be in sight for Ethan Anderson after he was sacked from his job during the latest episode of the ITV soap.

Last week, Ethan, who works as a solicitor faced suspension from work when he was wrongly accused of attacking Suni. While enjoying a night out on the town, Ethan saw Suni and Nicky being assaulted in a homophobic hate crime and tried to save them.

But despite his best efforts, when the police arrived Ethan was arrested and ended up spending a night in a prison cell. Although he was released the following day, Ethan's workplace was clearly not happy that he was caught in the ordeal and eventually called time on his position on Monday night's show (December 4).

With things now in turmoil, Emmerdale viewers seem to think another exit could be pending. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: "Now Ethan has lost his job, does this mean he can leave for good?"
