MARY Goskirk was over the moon when it seemed her revenge porn ordeal was over until Faye Helders got the last laugh.

However, as her nude photo made its way across the village, Emmerdale fans pointed out one major blunder on Wednesday.

The beloved character portrayed by former EastEnders star Louise Jameson was thrown in turmoil again when her former lover blackmailed her into withdrawing her statement against her.

Faye (played by Jane Gurnett) held an intimate photo of Mary over her head, threatening to send it to all of her contacts if she didn't comply.

After being encouraged by her daughter Rhona and April Windsor into standing up to the con woman, Mary made her way to the police station having made a decision.

And just when it seemed Faye had won, deleting the nude photo to mark her victory, Mary revealed she'd not only recorded her confessing to the blackmail but also set her up for the police to arrest her.

Mary celebrated taking Faye down in the Woolpack alongside Rhona, Marlon Dingle and Suzy Merton but she was quickly brought back to reality.

In a shocking turn of events, all villagers were stunned when their phones pinged to a new message – Faye had leaked Mary's photo after all.

However, the twist was hard to believe for ITV viewers as they took to social media with a list of errors within the storyline.

Many of them questioned why Mary would have all residents of the eponymous Dales in her contact list.

"Why on earth would Mary have EVERYBODY in the village on her contacts list?", one puzzled viewer noted.

Another asked: "How is anyone at April’s school going to be in Mary’s contacts?"

"Isn’t it crazy how Mary has every villager's phone number? I’ve been living in my village 12 years. I’ve got the neighbours on Facebook. That’s ya lot", a third quipped.

"Oh Mary hold your head up high! Although I can't understand why Mary would have had the contact details of every villager????", one soap fan echoed.

Another handful of flabbergasted viewers questioned how Faye could have sent the picture from behind bars, as she was supposedly locked up without her phone.

This led to them speculating she may have an accomplice working undercover in the village for her – and according to one viewer, Gail's arrival is anything but a coincidence.

"Ok, really wild theory… Gail could be related to Faye, and had a copy of the photo in case Faye got arrested", they penned, before adding: "When she learnt of Faye’s arrest she sent the photo since she would be in the village group chat."

A second viewer agreed: "So Faye must be working with someone.. odds on it been Gail?"

"Is it me or did Gail seem a bit odd in that scene. What if she's Faye's daughter or accomplice?", another concluded.
