Emmerdale fans call out PC Swirling for Father Christmas blunder during festive scenes

Emmerdale fans were left unimpressed with PC Mike Swirling on Thursday's hour-long episode as he made a Father Christmas blunder during the village's festive scenes.

During the latest episode, PC Swirling transformed into Father Christmas for the residents' choir event where everyone got together to sing carols.

However, soap watchers were left distracted during the scenes as PC Swirling decided to remove his beard, showing his identity and ruining the illusion of Santa for the village's children.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Santa Swirling destroying Christmas for the kiddies by removing his beard… #emmerdale."

A different viewer wrote: "Put your b****y beard on Swirling #Emmerdale."

Another soap watcher joked: "'Wait, Santa's a cop?!' said all the kids #Emmerdale."

While another viewer added: "Can't be a***d to even wear the beard now!!! #Emmerdale And the award for worse Santa ever …goes to…."

Elsewhere during the episode, things soon took a dramatic turn when Moira Dingle and Amy Wyatt arrived with Kyle and Isaac get into the festive spirit.

However, they managed to lose sight of Kyle, who actually killed Al Chapman with his father Cain Dingle taking the blame in prison, and saw him talking to PC Swirling about Cain.

Thankfully, they were able to swoop in before anything was revealed but it didn't stop PC Swirling from becoming suspicious about their troubled behaviour.

And back at Butlers, Amy and Moira tried to find out what Kyle revealed to PC Swirling but only ended up further upsetting him.

Reacting to the scenes, one viewer wrote: "Oh yes because Moira and Amy taking Kyle to see the policeman sorry I mean Santa and Amy saying “do you mind” isn’t going to start rising some suspicion #Emmerdale."
