DAWN Taylor was left devastated when Clemmie was recently taken away by social services.

Emmerdale fans believe they've figured out who the young girl's mother is and she may have a connection to another villager.

Heart-breaking news made its way to the Dales for Olivia Bromley's Dawn when the character found out her best pal Beth died of an overdose.

Dawn attended the funeral and then went to her friend Jade's home for the wake – where she found Beth's daughter Clemmie sleeping in a dog bed.

Beth and Dawn formed a bond when they worked in the sex industry together before the latter got her life back on track.

But ITV viewers are convinced the late Beth shares a mystery connection with Amelia Spencer.

In 2018, the teen befriended another girl called Beth while hanging around in an online chatroom.

At the time, Amelia (played by Daisy Campbell) had found out Daz Spencer was her biological father.

However, when she stayed at Beth's house, she was manipulated and cut off from the outside world as her new friend stole her phone.

Amelia was lied to, told nobody was looking for her, and lived in squalor.

It was then revealed that her father had been killed, shot during a live training exercise, less than ten years before by Daz.

Amelia's ordeal eventually ended and Beth was sent to prison.

Viewers believe the same Beth was Dawn's friend as she would have been around the right age and in harsh enough circumstances.

One fan took to Facebook and theorised: "Is anyone else thinking that Dawn's friend Beth (who recently died) could be the same Beth who kidnapped Amelia? Just thinking her flat looked like it could be in a similar area to Jade's…"

Another quickly echoed: "Oh you might have a point there. Well remembered."

A fourth viewer jumped in: "Emmerdale has me thinking, what if Dawn’s friend Beth was the same Beth who kidnapped Amelia a few years ago?"

Beth looked similar to Dawn when she first appeared in the Yorkshire-based soap.

She was played by Annabelle Kaye from June to August, 2018.

The same actress went on to appear in medical drama Doctors and Channel 4's Hollyoaks.
