Romeo Nightingale’s (Owen Warner) quest to locate missing dad James (Gregory Finnegan) leads to a rather surprising development in Hollyoaks next week.

The radio DJ, who has been using his show to retrieve information on his missing father, is dealt a devastating blow, when he’s informed that the show is in danger of being axed due to low ratings.

With Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins) also struggling, given that no-one is using the park after the knife attack, the pals join forces, as they decide to host an outside broadcast at the park.

Zain (Jonas Khan), meanwhile, mention a real-life superhero, who is known to his fans as ‘The King’, and this guy reportedly reunites missing people with their families. Romeo is keen to track him down, but doing so proves rather difficult.

Romeo therefore enlists the Imam’s help in tracking down ‘The King’, as they throw their impromptu soup kitchen in the hopes this mystery legend shows up.

With the events of the soup kitchen proving interesting, Romeo and Prince McQueen (Malique Thompson-Dwyer) pulls out all the stops to try and get The king’s attention, and Donna-Marie Quinn’s (Lucy-Jo Hudson) intervention might just do the trick.

A surprising reunion follows, as an identity is revealed, and we’ve got first look pictures of the shocking developments below.

Hollyoaks airs these scenes on Wednesday August 3 and Thursday August 4 at 7pm on E4.
