After Tuesday night's dramatic episode which saw Victor Anderson’s shock death, Emmerdale fans are predicting a cruel twist involving his son, Charles Anderson.
During the jaw-dropping episode, Victor was accused of stealing a necklace from Manpreet Sharma and was thought to have left the village before he his son found dead him at the church.
As regular viewers will know, Manpreet and Jai Sharma were warring over the precious family heirloom in the wake of Rishi’s death – with Manpreet finally having agreed to return the item to Jai after sleeping on it.
However, when she went to return the item it was found to be missing, and later was discovered in Victor’s pocket, just months after he was released from prison on probation after serving time for theft.
Victor’s wife Claudette discovered the piece of jewellery in his pocket and Manpreet decided to report him. Victor protested his innocence before he was found dead in a shock twist.
Emmerdale fans are now predicting a twist as some believe Victor’s son Charles might have set his dad up in a cruel bid to get rid of him. Other fans have guessed that Manpreet might be the culprit who planted the necklace to set Victor up.
Fans took to Twitter to share their predictions as one fan wrote: "Nice one Charles. Slipping that necklace in Victor's jacket pocket! Bye bye Victor”, while another said: “I'll put my money on Charles framing him too”.
A third added: “Charles is going to feel so guilty now,as it was so obviously him who planted the necklace. Ashley would never have done anything like that. I had to laugh though when Claudette said 'he's not a thief ',had she forgotten what he was in prison for?”
Another fan wrote: “I'm thinking Manpreet might have planted the necklace!! Clever woman”.
Other fans were disappointed that Victor had faced a brutal end, as one fan tweeted: “Awww. He was a wrongun but I liked him! They could've turned the character around and made him a lovable rougue, kept on the straight and narrow by his wife. A comedy double act perhaps. Not seen the episode yet. Will be sad to see him go.”
The death comes just weeks after it was revealed that Victor was suffering from a brain aneurysm, with fans already having seen him suffer a number of dizzy spells.
Emmerdale continues weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITVX
