Emmerdale fans work out Caleb Dingle’s plan to destroy Cain’s bond with son Nate

Emmerdale: Chas confronts Zak and Cain

Emmerdale viewers think they’ve worked out Caleb Dingle’s (played by Will Ash) next plan to tear down his family as he gets close to Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

In recent scenes, Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) confessed she couldn’t afford to keep both Nate and her brother Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) on after Caleb’s meddling with her farm equipment put financial strain on her business.

Only able to keep one of them working, the duo quickly clashed as to who should stay as Nate accused his dad Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) of not supporting him.

Realising he wouldn’t be able to feed his family, Nate and his wife Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) turned to Caleb for help with her new nursery venture.

Offering to help and be an investor, Cain was left furious at his son for seemingly betraying him after what Caleb had done to the family.

As an argument erupted between Nate and Cain, Caleb watched the falling out smugly, which resulted in his brother lunging at him.

Trying to stop the fight, Nate stepped in the way and demanded his dad back off, making it clear he’s decided to side with Caleb.

Although his dad didn’t want his son to fall into a trap and issued a sinister warning to Nate.

He fumed: “He’ll chew you up and spit you out. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

It looks as though viewers also don’t believe Caleb wants to help Nate out of the goodness of his heart either.

@penniless_poet commented: “Oh just had a thought – is this why Caleb has offered to help? Cos he wants to drive a wedge between Nate and Cain?”

Agreeing, @itzzzo_ replied: “It seems that way doesn’t it.”

@joycegallier added: “Of course.”

@MeeshyJay tweeted: “Nate is a fool.”

@natashate1983 commented: “Nate and Tracy are idiots working with Caleb. The reason he no longer got a job is because he messed with Moira’s business.”

Will Nate fall victim to another one of Caleb’s schemes? Or has the village villain had a change of heart?
